Yes you are awake. You are in a chair, like being in a spa. You lay back and put on eye protection and the laser starts. You feel discomfort, more annoying than painful. It burns a little and feels hot for about 15 minutes after. You are red for a few hours, but no pain.

I have very light skin, so I had dark areas where the laser was done for a few days that I was able to cover with makeup. After about 5 days it started to crust away and reveal the results. My skin looks like a babies skin. Wrinkles are gone, sun spots are gone.
